箱瀬淳一氏の素晴らしい蒔絵や器をこのオリンピック開催と同時に
箱瀬氏は、
彼の作品から今の日本の新しい蒔絵を知ることができる。

Japanese lacquer, or “urushi” as it is called in English, is a representative of traditional Japanese craftsmanship.
Artist who spread Urushi to the world
Junichi Hakose, an artist who has spread urushi around the world, will be exhibiting his wonderful maki-e lacquerware and vessels at the same time as the Olympics.
Mr. Hakose is a lacquer artist who has successfully collaborated with a number of French brands out of the traditional framework.
From his works, we can learn about the new Maki-e of today’s Japan.
You will be able to see works that continue to be transmitted not only to Japan but also to other countries at Hiroo Plaza.
